I have a raster image (jpg) from a screenshot of a baby's name that I want to import into Inkscape and change the fill color. I followed the tracing bitmaps tutorial but can't figure out how to change the fill color. When I try to change the fill color, it changes the stroke color. Is someone aware of a tutorial that explains this?   Thanks!

    Hi rhw80,

I decided to try doing the same thing using your file. It works for me. I was able to change the fill color without issue. See my settings.

The fill color was changed using the FILL and STROKE tool.

    Linux POP-OS!

Hmm, I'll see if I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. Much appreciated!

    Here's my suggestion.

Draw a rectangle over the name. Set the fill to a solid colour or a gradient or a pattern. Set blend mode to lighten. The possibilities are endless.

    That's excellent! Thanks so much.
