Hello! I am new to Inkscape and I am trying to digitize my beautiful lettering. I try tracing the bitmap with the Colors option, it doesn't work right, and so then I use the Multiple Scans Colors option. When I try to do this with a relatively low amount of colours, it creates yellow pixels around my green and orange letters. Is there any way to isolate these pixels from the yellow letters and then delete them? Document for reference:

    Hi, welcome to the forum.

Based on what's shown in your image attachment, I wouldn't bother with the colour/multiple scans options. I would firstly concentrate on getting a good black (single) scan of the lettering (you may need to adjust the Brightness Threshold upwards). Next, I would use Ctrl + Shift + K (or menu Path > Break Apart) to break the letters into separate objects. Each one can then be coloured individually.

Trace bitmap is a fantastic tool, but it does have its drawbacks, as you've found. For simple shapes, it's easier to use the Single Scan to black default option and manually change colour afterwards.

I played about with your image and I've attached an SVG showing what I got. Download & see if this works for you.

Hello! Thanks for the advice. I just have one problem that's probably something dumb that I don't know about on my end, but when I go to break it apart, it fills in the "p" and the two "o"s with black pixels. What can I do to fix this?

You'll need to select (draw a rectangle around the loose parts with Selet tool) and go Path->Combine to get back the holes.

    Ok. Thank you both!
