I think that was a bug with the font weight recognition or something like that... There isn't much you can do, unless you want to reinstall the font in separate files, one for each weight, and rename it.
I believe this has been fixed for Inkscape 1.0beta - can you try if that's correct?
you are right, it was my mistake. Last Firday at home I must have unchecked the button and yesterday I tried with my new laptop which had the font not installed 😣.
Can you please try to edit the text. When I click into it, I can delete letters but when I want to add test it behaves wierd. It looks like it writes underneath the old text
Hi,
we have an agency which creates info grafics for us. From time to time I want to make little changes to them without contracting them.
They use Illustrator on Mac to create the files and deliver them (currently) in .ai, .svg and .png.
They use the font https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto+Condensed
I work with Windows and have installed the font for all users but when I open the .ai or .svg the font is not recognized correctly (Font1.png).
The font is available in Incskape (Font2.png)
The source files are attached.
Does anybody have an idea how to fix that?
Regards
Alex

Did you try "Replace PDF fonts with closest named installed fonts"?
Works here with Inkscape 0.92.2

Hi,
no luck with either version

Seems to work here regardless if I check the "Replace PDF fonts..." in the Import dialog.

This is a known issue with PDF text.
In the attached file, the duplicate text is green and in front of the original for alignment.
Looks like the line spacing on the smaller blocks is 1.05
Let us know how it goes.

Hi,
thank you for the effort but to be honest I will pay the agency to make the changes then. This is way to complicated (for me) to save time.
