I don’t know if it is OK to submit this question.

 have been trying several hours on the internet to solve this problem.

When creating an Inkscape Object it’s name appears in the “Layers & Objects” Panel. A Color shows up in front of it. The color is almost completely Blocking the Name which makes it impossible for me to read.

Will someone please tell me how to make the Selected Object Name very readable?

I know this can happen, because I don’t know how it happened accidentally once today when using Edit/Preferences to try and solve this Problem.

I'd try a different theme. Preferences>Interface>Theming.
