Hi maybe try selecting your line and then check if maybe this setting is 0. Later can double click on Bezier Tool icon to get settings.
Hi. There are several ways, but you can use double click on the last dot to end the line.

Hard to say if I slow video down it seems to show a bounding box which would indicate line was ended.
