See attached screen shop. I need to change the "B" out for the "A". The "B" consist of a bunch of small lines that can be manipulated and molded into my image.
The "A" is different. It is one object with (11) nodes. But I can't get it broken up to manipulate like I want.
How do I fix?
Thank you that worked. One more question. What version of Inkscape are you running? I like the way your screen looks compared to mine (screen shot attached.)
I'm running 1.3.2. To make your version look like mine, use View>Widescreen (untick the checkbox), then Edit>Preferences>Interface>Theming, Miniwata-Inkscape, hicolor icons (non-symbolic).
No need to worry about the small lines... I'd use the shape builder tool.

Thank you for your help I will give that a try.
Just for my curiosity is there a way to break the letter into a bunch of smaller lines like the one in this screen shot?
Yes, you can break paths at selected nodes, then break those subpaths into separate objects.
Ok, I will try that. Thanks!
