recently on the GDF eforum I've opened Inkscape vs Illustrator thread, where normally the main contra'argument of the discutants was the lack of CMYK output of the Cairo exporter, so would like some help from more insightful members coz earlier usually I would finish the gradients in AIL and like that resolving the cmyk issue if needed, also to be clear I havent used the Ghostscript till now , altho on many places is pointed that the same is accurate approach that many find it useful, but I am not sure if with Ghostscript are nicely covered altogether the gradients transparencies and effects when converting to cmyk pdf ...
here is the thread from GDF where this started ...
as pointed in the thread, particularly in this video is suggested that in Scribus only clear vector paths can be converted accurately from rgb to cmyk, where further also is suggested that Krita can be good cmyk pipeline altho not sure whether transparencies can go through, and maybe this is doable with AffinityD [1] but even if it is AFD is not free platform, what from Christian aspect could be issue as sin and/or casual feedback (the buddhist label karma) i.e. spiritual problem when one use pirated programs even tho there is difference in respect of the intention [2] what eventually for many will be joke, but lets hope like in case of Blender also engaged programmers will gather around Inkscape and make integrated cmyk output ... yet till then there should be pointed to stable workaround, so I would appreciate any input about any cmyk output pipeline ...
one idea I have is exporting the inkscape SVG as EPS file then opened in Scribus, just need to be centered in right manner before exporting i.e. adjusted document properties accordingly, so it wouldnt give results like the next one ...
as I can see the issue is addressed this month as priority and there is motion for finishing the coding of cmyk profile for inkscape [1] maybe I am putting it wrongly but for 3 years there is push, while as I can see the same in this last year started to rollover [1] what I dont get how from all the world through so much hack'a'mind experts this is still not resolved, what I'll guess should be done maybe through compiling different engines in one unique ~ normally through rop design i.e. through anyprogramminglanguage withobject orientedcapabilities [2] think this is why the team have issues with Mac [3]
must admit I am not programmer but logically if SteveJ says he used rop approach for compiling MacOS'X [3][3] then any wanna'be compatible and stable software for OS'X should go through rop design, is that stealing hm then what today is not copyrighted maybe even the bulb design [4] now dont jump on me I am in this respect just guessing how things can get faster, is this doable think yes, is it legal it depends, in the end what one can hope is that corporatism will rethink how exploitation is assured badly through patents and licenses so many from the third world will live sinful life using their hacked versions, thats why I think rop is not crime [3][3] (the indent in the editor dont work)
I mean I know most programmers reasoning in this way, but not sure how many are recompiling licensed engines and implementing them in Incskape i.e. decompiling them "and in new mosaic reinserting codes from different languages", can this be done, many will say no, my opinion is yes, the problem would be stability, lets say this proposition is reinventing the wheel and I am wrong, but in that case we will never came to quick 3D import in Inkscape (obj or else) that will be rendered in svg like in the expensive Microstation Bentley or 3dVia Catia i.e. Inkscape to have own 3d environment maybe push'd'button pipeline with Blender like GoZ eh just imagine throwing ZBrush sketches and textures in Inkscape directly instead like now with ten step workaround ...
can someone explain exactly how this extension works so it would be easy understandable whether transparencies blurs and gradients i.e. Effects will funkction in Scribus, isnt better to export EPS file to Scribus than svg so one will keep all the effects!?
and even tho transparencies go smooth, yet the colors should assigned one by one, but there is way around for cmyk calibration in indesign, not sure but should wirk for AIL too ...
here is precise point that only Scribus can do the job quick when vectors are in question ... altho even then its not one click job but at least work [1]1][1]
maybe faster way would be online convert which probably has some random translator!? tho probably I am wrong about this assumtion... yet, plugins should do the job but not sure how effective is their rasterization before creating the PDF, whether the effects are kept true!? do anyone have experience with these?
Again, for filters and transparencies direct Scribus pipeline is not useful [1] in which respect not sure how behaves Ghost Script too as pdf [2] and altho sounds interesting to have multiple profiles at hand in one svg file till printshops dont embrace svg as proof [3] the eps would be norm ,,,

after all these digressions, I'll come back again ontopic with another question ...

can someone explain exactly how this extension works so it would be easy understandable whether transparencies blurs and gradients i.e. Effects will funkction in Scribus, isnt better to export EPS file to Scribus than svg so one will keep all the effects!?
why I didnt knew this in 2011, ten Years later still tho there is no one button script to Scribus!
this is like mental block of some sort for many, for me just stopwatch for another particular option!

I am not subscriber to InDesign but for those that are eps can easily go through the same too ...
