Hi, I can't seem to use the "put on path" function from the text menu without the text disappearing when I insert the file into another document (Word). Do I need to convert the text to an image before saving? I have tried 'unflow' and 'convert to text' but nothing seems to help. Should I be exporting to PNG?
I'm seeing the same issue, even in Inkscape, but it's erratic.
I'd try grouping the path and the applied text, entering the group and turning off the color on the path (if you want it hidden), exit the group and copy/paste the group.
Thanks for the ideas but it's still not working for me. I've decided to insert a PNG copy into document instead. I've had a similar problem with diagrams with arrows - these also seem to go awry and lose their arrow heads. :-(
Hi, I received the notification of a message by Tyler Durden, but it looks like the last three or four messages (mine included) on the thread have disappeared.
Out of curiosity, I've just run a test on a new MS Word file and a new InkScape file. I drew a simple black arrow in InkScape, duplicated it, and converted the duplicate to path. Then I copy-pasted both of them (original and duplicate) in the empty DOCX file. Outcome: both of them are displayed correctly when I close and reopen the DOCX file.
Maybe the issue of disappearing arrow heads only surfaces when working with a larger DOCX file (MBytes as an order of magnitude)? Or when the arrows are part of a larger and more complex drawing?

In Windows copy - paste, usually works just fine.

Seems to work here.

I split the topic to here: https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/markers-missing-when-copying-from-inkscape-to-word/
