I have been attempting to finish a project that I've started in Inkscape but have ran into an issue.
I'm clipping a series of photos into a shape that I can print out for a project however when I attempt to print the objects, the sheet either doesn't print anything or it prints partial objects.
The page size is correct for what I'm doing so that isn't it. I am able to save the file as a .svg and have another program print it with no issues.
Some posts back I saw a few saying that in the print dialog that there will be a Render tab and you need to make a change in it. However on my system, there is no render tab at all.
This is the latest version of Inkscape and Windows 11.
I know that I can export and print that a way but was hoping that maybe someone may have a direction that I can be leaned towards.
Unfortunately printing seems to be one of the things Inkscape is severely lacking in. Personally I have given up on it and save as PDF before printing from Acrobat Reader.
It's a bit of an inconvenience but not a big deal for me. Is there any reason you want to print from within Inkscape?
I would've liked for the result in Inkscape to be printed from there just as a convenience factor. I have read about the export and then print "solution" but I also have seen that some folks had a tab that once you click on it, you can change a preference and get Inkscape to behave better.
Looks like this side of Inkscape is still an Achilles heel unfortunately.
Guess I never had to print from Inscape before so I never really noticed that this didn't work before.
Thanks for the response. It did not solve the issue but it is letting me know that I may have to see about taking a different direction on the project (use different software)
