I am trying to export a SVG file into a PNG file, but the program either tells me that I am not authorized to save images, or it goes through the process and produces a file of 0 bytes, which is obviously not terribly useful.

The file in question was originally a PNG Stereogram of a Christina Aguilera song, made with Sonic Visualiser. I turned it into SVG so I could make it the right size for printing on A4 without distortion, as the original was 4800 x 851. However, when I tried to export the resized SVG into a PNG it throws up the "not authorized message", or it creates an empty file. This seems to depend on whether I try to save the file to a specific map "not authorized" or simply use the export button, which makes the empty file.

I have the 64 bit, 1.2 version of Inkscape. Windows 11, also 64 bit of course.

I couldn't find anything about this in the tutorials, so this does not seem to be an intended function. See the attachment for the file in question.

I've seen some permissions issues with Win11 mentioned here... not sure of the exact solution.

Which installer was used (.msi, .exe, zip, winstore)?

Thanks for responding, It was msi. I had updated windows after the installation of Inkscape. It might be worth noting that since this post, I managed to succesfully it export it unto the public folder under the public images folder. After that, I could move it anywhere on my computer.

That's good to know. Thanks for the workaround.
