I just found the answer.
Select VIEW then Show/Hide then Statusbar
You may already know, that's a bit like driving a car with the gauges turned off, or running in the forest with a blindfold on.
The Status Bar tells you vital information about the tools and objects in use, and much more. Super helpful when things don't work as expected.
As long as you know how to turn it back on, you may find it helpful.
