Hi Alabass, Did you check and make sure that the imported paths and objects are visible in the Objects sidepanel (menu: Object-->Objects [click on eyeball icon])? You could also check and make sure that the colors for the objects have the Alpha (transparency) turned up to 100. I just downloaded some tutorial .ai files from an official Adobe tutorial and tried importing them, and everything showed up fine. Best regards.

When I import an Adobe Illustrator file into Inkscape I see the box for the file but the picture is not displayed. What am I missing?
