Beyond the Basics Palette resize and height

I just updated to 1.0 from 0.92.4. There were some lost things in the shuffle (not transferring from one to the other)

In any case I imported a custom palette I issued with no issue in 0.92.4, filling 2 row but now has soon that I try to resize the palette, either nothing changes (going from tiny to small or medium, no changes and then, massive changes with wide scroll bars obscuring half of it.

Also, I don't know if it can be done, but I am unable to find where to resize the height and space dedicated to the palette.

On other things, is it possible to resize the void space between icons mainly at the top to tighten the vertical spacing?

    Huge
    Medium
    Small
    Tiny

Please report this issue to GitLab, I'm having it as well. Here's a video tutorial on reporting Inkscape issues.

    Here is the bug report

2783 but one already existed 1453

Also for the icon size, any help there?

Thanks! As for void space, it's impossible to do correctly. 2 vertical style selectors on the far right for some tools like rectangle, circle, path are hardcoded into UI. If one edits theme so top toolbar buttons are significantly smaller vertically, the following bug occures: toolbar becomes vertically narrower for some tools (those without 2 vertical selectors on far right) but when user selects tool featuring style selector, the whole toobar enlarges vertically and all other toolbars and rulers jump lower on screen. Similar issue was reported at GitLab (Adwaita theme produces this kind of bug on some systems) in #1335 and #2674. I've tried to conquer this issue while developing my theme, but no luck.

TL;DR Hardcoded UI element prevents making top toolbar slimmer without issues.

Ok :( it's just that I liked the spacing in 0.92.4 a bit slimmer and so more useable space. Well, It seems I will have to live with it :( :Sadden Simon is sad:
