When I save it as PDF (File -> Save a Copy -> PDF), I can see every object. When I print it to PDF I only see a quarter of the circle and both rectangles are gone.
But all your objects with a fill color only have 99.9% opacity. Is this by intention? When I set the opacity to full 100%, all objects show like they should when printing to PDF.
With 0.92.4, that bug does not occur anymore, so you wold not have to change the drawing. However, the 99.9% are probably not intentional, so changing the value will probably mean fixing the drawing.
Here's an SVG file and corresponding PDF file. Notice that some details on the eyes are missing in the PDF. Inkscape verion 1.0.1 (3bc2e813f5, 2020-09-07)
Windows 10, OS build 19041.685, Inkscape 1.0.1 (3bc2e813f5, 2020-09-07), installer I don't remember, but probably just whatever default the Inkscape website offers. No special hardware, single 1080p monitor. Microsoft Print To PDF is, afaik, a standard Windows component, and Firefox uses the exact same thing, with the same settings.
I'm having a similar problem. 2020 Mac, latest inkscape: most of the objects on this document don't show up when printing or saving to pdf. Never happened before. Would really appreciate some help
1. Ungroup everything (if necessary, multiple times) then do Path > Convert to path. THEN do the export.
2. Visit https://inkscape.org/report and report a bug for this so it can be fixed in future Inkscape versions.
Explanation:
There are lots of elements in the drawing which are not paths, and which Inkscape can't deal with very well - polygons, polylines and lines. If they are converted to paths, everything works as expected.
@CHOPPYSTYLE87, I was so very frustrated with the exact same problem. Tried to follow other peoples' suggestions to no avail. Then tried yours and voila! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! You saved me from pulling out my hair!.
Hi,
In my latest file i created, while printing inkscape refuses to print some objects.
Text is printed fine.
I tried on a physical printer as well as 'Microsoft print to pdf'.
I also tried 'Save as -> pdf'.
There too it was the same.
In both pdfs the objects don't show up.
I have been using Inkscape for a year and am having this issue from today.
I have files created few days ago that print fine, but recently this is the problem
I am attaching a test SVG file and the exported pdf file.
Can someone take a look at the files and help ?
Inkscape has become unusable due to this!😞
Thank you!

Yes, I think that transparency in PDF not printing is a known bug with an older version of Inkscape. What version are you using?
Hi,
My version is 0.92.3
Now i see there is a newer version.
I am installing that now.
I will ensure the transparency is 100% and recheck.
Thanks for the hint.
I mean I will set opacity to 100% :-)

Made an account just to post that as of 1.0.1 (3bc2e813f5, 2020-09-07) this is still an issue.
Does not seem to be the same issue.
Please describe in greater detail how this is related.

I uploaded the wrong SVG. Here's another try.
Seems to work here. I'd check the pdf output settings.
Describe your OS & version, the version of Inkscape and the installer you used, plus any special hardware like tablet/stylus or multiple monitors.

I suggest using Inkscape's Save a copy as process in the File menu, which opens the dialog shown in the screenshots I shared.
Hello,
I'm having a similar problem. 2020 Mac, latest inkscape: most of the objects on this document don't show up when printing or saving to pdf. Never happened before. Would really appreciate some help
@mark123 There are two things to do for you here:
1. Ungroup everything (if necessary, multiple times) then do Path > Convert to path. THEN do the export.
2. Visit https://inkscape.org/report and report a bug for this so it can be fixed in future Inkscape versions.

so i think i figured out the issue. there are 2 ways to fix this.
1. when printing click on the rendering tab and select bitmap
if you can not find this tab (like i could not find on mine) then try this
2. select all the layers in the layers area and press alt+b. it will create a bitmap layer that you can print.
i now have no issues printing objects from what inkscape has provided or ones i create myself. i hope this helps!!!
