Hi. I am exploring the 1.2 beta release.

Since this seems to be the "new direction" for Inskcape - which is quite different from the past - I ask for a series of video turorials showing and explaining the key aspects for the 1.20 version ("direction").

My request is that someone (or several folks) who designed/developed/gave approval of these changes ... provide short videos which go over each aspect listed at the above link.

(A single resource point - here - within the Inkscape forum. Not 27 or more other places to play detective.)

This would be so much better than end users struggling to locate video material put out by others on the various video platforms.

Especially since the key makers and shakers who made the 1.2 version would be and should be so much knowledgeable about what they created. Providing such short videos will also save many questions by users from being raised and prevent potentially struggling through. This would be a great "selling point" for veteran and new users, and I am sure increasing confidence and support for Inkscape's future.

Videos would include such aspects as: here is where it is located, here is how it works, here is how in interacts with the other portions of Inkscape etc.

Providing these short video tutorials is so much better than dumping a bunch of puzzle pieces on the table and hoping we all can "put it together" without the overall picture on the box.

My analogy may not be spot on, but I think you get my meaning.

If anyone out in Inkscape land agrees with me, I welcome you adding your voice (and help) here.

P.S. Yes, I have seen the video below. It is great. Yet I would appreciate a series of shorter, specific, individual aspect videos to help me learn, grow, and use the 1.20 version. Not just the see the shine of the new (and different) portions.

@ken10001000 You have made a good point. The concept of 'official' tutorials has been, recently, discussed by the team, and it seems generally accepted that it would be beneficial (should those, who have the creative capacity, have the time and desire to do it).

While there has been discussion of someone moving to provide some form of tutorials for users, nothing has (to my knowledge) been decided.

So, I could not say for sure if this will happen, when or what format these tutorials would be.

I am, currently, experimenting with Inkscape 1.2 beta to see how the new tools could be used in 'real world' situations (for the purpose of a future article). Perhaps this may be of some use to you and the other users?

Thank you, Pacer. I appreciate your response. Trying to think beyond just myself. Since Inkscape is focusing on new "direction" with the 1.20 version, I think it wise for these explanatory videos to "arise" from the Inkscape growers in-house. Of course there will be many who provide tutorial material elsewhere, but who better than the "parents" to show off their 1.20 "baby"?  I welcome seeing what "junior" can do and learning the character and contents of its family. Or, as another simple metaphor, we are in the house now ... lets learn the individual rooms and enjoy the  layout and features within it. Please communicate with others in the Inkscape creation team that this request is important.
