Beginners' Questions Missing the "Make Selected Segments Lines" Button v.1.4.2
New to Inkscape, working with CNC plasma projects. Downloaded version 1.4.2, started reviewing tutorials and noticed so many are outdated. For instance, when trying to manipulate text:Β PATH > Object to path,Β then "Ungroup", will not work, but "Split Path" is the new work-around. The new problem is that when trying to clean-up nodes, the button to "Make selected Segments Lines" is not on my tool control bar when using the edit paths by node tool. Was it removed? Is there a new method? Since I'll be working a lot with custom names on signs, any assistance would be greatly appreciated to make the process faster.
For me, it's still there in 1.4.2. only instead of "Make selected Segments Lines" it's just called "Straighten lines".
