I have a windows 11 laptop from my workplace. I'm not an administrator so I have the usual restrictions on installing software. Happily, the security policy allows me to install Inkscape from the microsoft store. Yesterday it stopped working. No errors, just no response when I start the app. I eventually found that the ms store silently auto-updated from version 1.3.2 to 1.4.2. I tried uninstalling, resetting, reinstalling, etc. Now the store reports an error and I can't install. Has anybody else seen this?
The microsoft store Inkscape package has been fixed!
However, the "retry" button didn't work for me. Installation failed again. Instead I had to uninstall the failed download before starting a completely fresh download.

I recall seeing convo on this issue in the chat. Win store packaging is a challenge; maybe only one dev handles it.
Yea, running into the same thing. :(
Had this exact same issue, no clue how to fix it though.
Same here. Tried again today and now I'm back on Inkscape 1.3.2 (091e20e, 2023-11-25, custom).
Looks like it's being addressed: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/5867

Like I said before. 1.4.2 was rolled back to 1.3.2. The Inkscape version is found in help > about.
