I tried at the beginning using "Alt+Print Screen" to create a screenshot. That worked, I saw it.
Next, I tried to paste the screenshot directly into the forum post by using Ctrl+V. That didn't work. That is why I had to tell the forum verbally about what I did.
I found the following on the internet.
"To provide a screenshot to the Inkscape forum, first capture the screenshot using your operating system's tools (e.g., Print Screen, Snipping Tool, or Alt+Print Screen). Then, you can paste the screenshot directly into your forum post, either by using Ctrl+V or by uploading it as an image file."
Anyway from now on, I will always be able to use "Text/Preferences" FULLY.
I have done allot of internet searching, but can't find how to do it.
My screen now is ALL BLACK with WHITE TEXT.
I want ALL WHITE with BLACK TEXT
.Thanks for your help!!!!

I'd try Edit>Preferences>Interface>Theming>Use Dark theme checkbox UN-ticked.
There is nothing inside THEMING.
I just uninstalled my Inkscape Program.
I next installed the newest version 1.4.2. There is still nothing inside THEMING.
Why no "Use Dark Theme"?
What I am NOW being FORCED TO USE is TERRIBLE.
It isn't just the Color Problem.
The way everything is organized AND the SIZE of Many Icons is EXTREMELY TOO SMALL.

Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences:https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
After that, we can proceed to reset the theme to light mode, and enlarge the icons.
I Solved the WHOLE PROBLEM Yesterday.
All I needed to do was select Text/Preferences then Drag that Panel to the LEFT far enough to see EVERYTHING in it.
I deleted it after making all the changes I wanted to make. That was very easy to do. I'm Very Surprised nobody told me about that.

Not surprising since you didn't provide a screenshot.

Update my answer.
Ctrl+V doesn't Paste in the forum.
1st: Open (Text/Preferences).
2nd: Drag Preferences Panel to the Left then Make Corrections.
