AWS becomes the preferred cloud service provider for SAP environ - README

Siemens Intelligent Infrastructure Group has become the first company in Siemens AG to move SAP environment of production level and key business to the cloud 
 
 Amazon cloud services (AWS) announced on the 4th that Siemens Intelligent Infrastructure Group, which focuses on energy distribution and intelligent building business, will move its sap infrastructure to AWS. 

The company will move more than 20 ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) systems based on SAP Hana to AWS by the end of 2021. These more than 20 systems support the key business processes of manufacturing, operation and sales of different business sectors, such as construction products, electrical products, digital grid and distribution system. The migration of these workloads to AWS will enable Siemens Intelligent Infrastructure Group to significantly shorten the hardware update cycle, improve the flexibility of testing and deploying new systems, and lay the foundation for the future transformation of the company using SAP s / 4hana technology. This is the first time for the whole Siemens Group to move the production level SAP system to the cloud. Siemens Intelligent Infrastructure Group predicts that it will greatly save costs in the next three years.
