Beginners' Questions Why is there inconsistency between exporting PDF images and SVG?

    I would like to convert a svg file to PDF format, but the appearance of the PDF file is inconsistent with the SVG. 

    Please see the attachments for both files. 

     

    The PDF file is displayed on the left side below, and the original SVG format image is displayed on the right side below.

    @Tyler Durden Sorry.  I was having trouble uploading the files earlier, so I mistakenly clicked the submit button. I have now re-edited the issue.

    I'm guessing, but it could be that a mask is in use. They don't transfer properly to pdf.

    I would make the thin black boundary have a white fill.
