Hi, I'm trying to solve an issue where when I select a node it zips to a random location and anytime i hover over another node and they start following my cursor. I tried debug mode and it doesn't act up but runs very slow. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and still the same issue persist. neither a fresh doc or old ones. PLEASE HELP!
Describe the source of the file: created with Inkscape, downloaded, imported from another program, etc.
Describe your OS (your computer's Operating System: Mac/Windows/Linux/etc. & version).
Describe if Inkscape was newly installed, or upgraded from an earlier version.
Describe the version of Inkscape and the installer you used (the file you downloaded from the web: .msi/.exe/.zip/appimage/other, PPA/Snap/Flatpak, dmg/other ).
Describe any special hardware being used, like tablet/stylus, external drives or multiple monitors.
Describe any helper/assistive programs or keyboard modifiers (macros, languages, etc.).
The issue is caused whether or not its a new document. I can't get a video of it, but imagine youre hovering the node and it just starts to move with the cursor no matter what, mouse or tablet.
A little hard to tell, but it looks like there is a path effect applied to the line. Maybe start with selecting the line and using menu: Path>remove path effect.

Bonus points, if you:

Thank you
First, I'd try adjusting the settings in the preferences.
I only click twice, once to select the object and once to start moving the first node, after that, im no longer clicking just dragging

That didnt work. It proceeded to crash
I tried to copy the crash report and it didnt copy
I retried removing the path effect after reloading, and it worked! Thank you so much!
