I'm completely new to Inkscape and have encountered the following problem:
I want to edit an already existing svg file (I unfortunately do not know in which program it was created); specifically the text. When I try to edit the text, the font style, font size and font colour changes. Since I haven't created the file, I do not know which font style was used. I have tried to use the command "paste style" but it didn't work. Is there any (easy) way to fix / prevent this?
Thank you so much in advance!
(I'm using a newly installed version of Inkscape on a Windows computer)
It's hard to say. Possibly your text is not text, but a "picture" of some text with no font or style information. What happens if you use the Text tool and [double-click]? Can you upload a sample for us to inspect?
That works! Thank you so much, I don't know why I haven't spotted this before! I could edit the contents of the text before too, but not without changing the style.
