I've been using Inkscape (0.92.4) for about a year now & slowly working my way through its many aspects.
I have some mirror pieces that when fitted together form a circle with a diameter of approx 600mm. Using my K40 laser,I want to raster engrave an image on the back of the pieces so when fitted together they show the image on the full size mirror. In this case a football team logo.I've managed to split the circle into what would be the same sizes as the individual pieces using clone/create tiled clones, but I'm having difficulty doing the same to the logo. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to go about it please.
Why does this only work with a pattern? Everywhere I look tutorials describe patterns as things used to make repeating objects ... is there anywhere I can find an explanation of the mechanics of patterns that makes this possible?
First post so please be gentle with me!
