Beginners' Questions Issue with Autosave

I just had a brief power outage and when I went back to Inkscape my changes were gone.  I went to preferences to verify Autosave was enabled and it appeared to be.  (Blue box with a white check in it)  The problem is that the folder that the saves were supposed to be does not exist.  I left the folder as the default folder.

    Inkscape 1.1 and Windows 10

It would be great if I could find the saves if they exist but I really want to make sure it works going forward.

I´d search for something like "automatic-save-501......svg" on my system. macOS put the autosaves in the Users/Library(ApplicationSupport/.... and sometimes after a crash into Users/User folder.

Well I can't find anything with the search but I've redone my work so that's not important but I still need to fix the problem.  I'm going to try a custom folder and create the folder in advance and see if that works but do you have any idea why Inkscape (or Windows) doesn't put it where it should be?

Unfortunately I have no clue about Windows.

Working here in Win10, Inkscape 1.3.2.

    50 autosaves, 10 min apart.

    C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\inkscape

    👍

I just changed the destination to a custom folder and they are being saved now.
