I'm a new Inkscape user. It's been running relatively smoothly for the first few days, but today it began crashing as soon as I launched it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application two different times, restarted and shut down my computer, but nothing has helped so far. As soon as I attempt to open it, Inkscape crashes. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Well, I'm not certain where the preferences.xml is stored on a mac these days, but if you can search/find it in the user profile, you can rename it to preferences.old. Inkscape will make a new default one. That might help.
If you recently installed any fonts with special characters, they can cause issues and could be removed for testing.

Describe your OS & version, the version of Inkscape and the installer you used.
Yes, I suppose that'd be relevant information, wouldn't it?
I'm using Mojave 10.14.6, and downloaded the most recent version of Inscape (1.0). I used the .dmg installer.
Thanks!

I'll give it a shot. Thanks for your help!
