I have the same problem. I was able to start with a glyph and adjust drawing to size. Did same thing on next glyph and it shows as smaller and higher to the right. As I add more glyphs, they get smaller then larger. I also have the issue that when I save the svg, the font I was creating disappears and I cannot find it. I don't feel this is a beginner question.
