Beginners' Questions Ellipse instead of rectangle

    At some point something unbelievable happened:

    Whenever I select rectangle and try to draw it, it draws an ellipse.

    I cannot believe how this is possible. But it stays this way

    I am using 1.0.1 since transforming SVG to PDF does not work well in Inkscape 1.0.2
