I'm trying to create a paper pop-up. I have a vector image, but when I cut part of it off it creates new line connecting the part. I am going to run this on a laser cutter, I need the parts I cut out to be open, not vector lines (so they are not cut by the laser). Thanks
If you are using path operations, the Cut Path operation leaves paths open (opposed to Difference, which closes paths). The downside is you need to delete the extra bits on the other side of the cut, so pick your poison.
Regardless of the tools used to cut, the new/added line is easy enough to remove with the button: "Delete segment between nodes".
