Beginners' Questions create 3D effect on circle : just like back of round plate

    Hello Inkspace Forum expert,

    I am trying to create 3D effect on circle, just like back of round plate. As shown in attached image.

    just to make circle which is little risen like back of plate.

    Please suggest which option to use in this case.

    Please can you suggest what you are doing in image-1-2-3-4, this will give me idea how to proceed.

    What if i have to make it a little spherical type of surface, just like a football surface ?
