    Hi,

    1. If I create a custom filter in the filter editor, how can i export the settings to make the filter available to other projects?

    2. I have used a filter, 'distort/roughen', on a source pic, a circle in this instance, and the filter has created the effect within a bounding box, so that if i zoom out, the wavy lines of the filter are cut off and the result has straight edges caused by the bounding box. How can i enlarge the bounding box?

I have had this happen before, but i'm damned if i can remember what i did? I have looked at the old project, and as a solution i grouped the 'bounded effect->graphic' with a larger rectangle with the opacity set to zero. The rectangle works to extend the bounding box around the graphic, but i must have done something else besides grouping, because if i ungroup and regroup the old project, the rectangle no longer works to extend the boundary area.

Did that make sense . . . or did that sound confusing? Kind of a hard one to explain.

Question 1 sorted; just drop a svg file containing the custom filter into the     [  ..\Inkscape\share\inkscape\filters  ]   directory

Okay figured out the bounding box question but a different way to the last time i had this issue. If anyone wants to attempt to figure out what i did by looking at an example file, say so, and i will upload an example svg. This time I altered the coordinates in the Filter Editor under:  /general settings/coordinates and /general settings/dimensions. Turn off automatic region first and make the coordinate minus [-] to pull the bounding box over the graphic

The node tool displays handles to resize filter area, I think.
