Forum Issues, News, and Announcements Forum Request: add sub areas in beginner & beyond forums

Hi, I would really like to help users and newbie even if I am newbie here...

However I have been noticed, especially in the beginner section, a very annoying behavior from many people that use Windows and Apple: most of them demand to have problems resolved as if this was a helpdesk, or as Inkscape was a commercial software with a customer support! Most of them instead of finding a solution or a workaround, or simply learn,  just complain if not even worst.

I use Inkscape 90% on Linux and 10% on MacOS. I used to work between 2016-2017 100% daily on Mac for Digital Advertising though, and I collected enough experience on MacOS too. Now since the moment I don't touch personally Windows from more than a decade I forgot about some people behavior because people that use Linux are willing to learn and overall have the habit to handle any issue with effort and workaround to make something work properly, but it seems that people using Win and Apple behave as everything should owed to them without the minimum knowledge of what Free & Libre Software means!

I cannot know if someone is using Linux, Win or Mac because 99% of the threads don't even have the most basic information about the version of Inkscape and OS in use, but if the are subsections I can address Linux people and Mac users avoiding Windows users.

Many requests for support come in to me directly as the webmaster (via email). Mostly I redirect people here and to the chat rooms. But it depends, if someone is rude or demanding I delete the email.

I see, but for you does it make sense, at least on the beginners area, to create a sub forum for Apple and Linux?

I'm not the forum manager, so this isn't really my decision. But it doesn't make sense to me. Inkscape is very homogeneous in most terms and only deviates when it comes to installing. Either those things can be covered by pointing people to fixed/static documentation (or such documentation improved) or they would be useful for all Inkscape users to read.
