I'm seeking an explanation of the differences between the various grayscale settings Gray 1 thro 16 in Inkscape 1.3.2.
I've exported an image in all these options and checking them in GIMP, all are listed as 'Grayscale 8-bit gamma integer' except for Gray 16 (16 bit). I see that at a constant compression setting, the png file size gets smaller with decreasing Gray number and visually I see little difference in quality of the png images.
I want to incorporate a black-and-white drawing in a print book and am looking for the best export option settings.
