Hello All. I'm a new user to both Design Space and Inkscape. I uploaded the Inkscape image below into Design Space and placed it on the canvas and flattened all the layers. The make being set to Print & Cut. I am seeking information as to why the design elements have lost their weight as can be seen in the two posted links, Appreciate any help, - Scotty

I guess you need shapes; if so convert the lines with Path->Stroke to Path and the text with Path->Union on a copy of the file just in case you need editable text later on.

Thank You. In my layers panel all the elements were listed as paths. Nonetheless, I repeated the process and it worked except for the text which had some wonky nodes creating a thin line diagonally through the text. Recreating the text and converting it again provided good results. All in all the imported image to Design Space was as desired. - Scotty

As you can see, and as Polygon explains, Cricut design space doesn't takes stroke width into account (it seems you also used a thick stroke to bold the font) : select all and do stroke to path.
