• To submit your artwork, scroll to the bottom of the page and while logged in, click the paperclip (bottom-left) to upload your image, add a description in the text box (optional) and click "Submit Reply".
• If you'd like to post work-in-progress artwork, create a thread in the "Work in Progress" section of the forum, and post your images there, with the title "[Month] [Year] [Challenge Title] WIP - [your artwork title]" (you are welcome to ask for help there if you get stuck). I always liked those simple posters with long shadows. Original with Inkscape and fine details with Gimp ☕  The order should be the opposite. I can't put the images as I want 😢😊

@mrks9 The coffee poster is very nice! Just one remark, if I'm aloud:
I think the pen's shadow should be broken in 3 parts and placed in different positions from each other.
-Part 1 on the table
-Part 2 on the cup's edge
-Part 3 on the coffee's surface
I like very much the pen's ornament!👌
Ofcource it's a flat depiction and that's not much of an issue here.🙂

@Inkonic You are right, thanks for the tip. Regarding the ornament, it was another happy accident :) It's a copy of the pen object with stroke only. I removed some nodes from the tip, used LPE offset and those ornaments were created 😊

A short story using silhouettes that is remotely based on Alfred Hitchcock's “Rear Window”. The pictures on the wall are also mine. One made with Inkscape and the bridge with Blender.

FILTERS USED (all tweaked):
Bottle = Ridges > Refractive Gel B
Bottle's Shadow = Bumps > Bubbly Bumps
Curtain & Curtain's Shadow = Overlays > Wavy Tartan
