I've tried googling but I'm only getting the basics of using hershey text.
I guess what I'm looking for is essentially my own hershey font? is that a thing? I've drawn each letter with vectors in the specific way my laser likes them, and I would love to be able to type out text and have the letters be replaced by their vector counterparts. (I'm currently doing it by hand, one letter at a time, which is... not ideal haha) Is there a relatively simple way of doing that?
i'm on a macbook and running inkscape 1.3.2 if that's relevant!
I've never tried this myself, but I see that FontForge can create fonts from Inkscape paths. Sorry, I can't offer more. Here's a link to someone who knows much more than me. Prepare svg-font for Hershey Text and FontForge - Cutlings
