Beginners' Questions windows are docked, but how to save them?

I have to arrange the windows all the time when I open Inkscape. I have a saved template with the windows docked where I want them, but next time when I start a new project from the saved templet the windows are not there where I put them.

Is there anything in the preferences I have to change to have the windows saved?

    thanks.

I have the same selections but it doesn't work. Every time I open a project I get the same default view.

    Very annoying.

There is no way to create a working space and save it?

I downloaded the new Inkscape version 1.2.1 a few days ago. I had a constant not responding issue with the older Inkscape.

The new version works well so far. I could create the default workspace with the older version, but not with this.

That's the only issue I encountered.

    I use a Mac mini.

I did something, I can't tell you what, but now it opens as I saved it as a default templet. If it works tomorrow the same way, then it is solved.

    I'll see. 🤞
