So I am following LogosByNick on youtube for exercises on basics with the program. The problem is that when ungrouping the letters(so that I can move them individually), the blur is cut into squares and does not look alike in the video. The file is here:
The "Filter General Settings" of the Gaussian Blur are off:
You can re-adjust them and the ungrouped version will follow along - but I´m under the impression somethings are different now in Inkscape since Nick recorded the video.
On the other hand, yeah, there are many things that are different. I'm pretty sure that I will encounter more things that would not be taught in the video. But I like the pacing of his videos and his way of teaching. The other side of the coin is, I'm not just going to learn how to do things but also how to tackle them if I ever meet them again.
