I am on Lubuntu, Ubuntu 20.04.3

My question is about making this:

I have two side-by-side shapes, almost overlapped

I give to the right shape some outlines; after that I would like to subtract the outline part to the left shape.

    How can I do?

    I attach an image maybe

in this Image I would like that ONLY the black part disappears

    Thanks!!

    Bye, Andrea

    Polygon Polygon @Polygon🌶

Select the ellipse and go Path->Stroke to Path - you will receive the red ellipse and the oval black shape - select black and red Square and go Path->Difference. You´ll notice the cut off will be smaller due the remaining red ellipse. If you need an exact gap of the black shape you need to duplicate it first - do the Path->Difference thing on the Square and one more time on the red ellipse with the black shape.

    Hope this helps.
