I thought these two numbers would be the same, but no...why are they different?
I'd check the Tools settings in Preferences.
The bounding box can be set to visual (includes stroke widths) or geometric (just the paths).
When I change to Geometric, the individual line has 0 height. But even with that change, the numbers still don't match.
Also, is there a way to select all the lines and make them all the same height? When they are all selected, the height is the total. And why at the top tool bar is it height and in the fill and stroke box it is width? That's a little confusing.
If I keep at it, I'll figure it out, but geometric only adds the height of one line. That's why they don't match.
All the lines can have the same stroke width (thickness). Select all, then enter the value in the stroke style tab.
It is called width, because the W3C set the SVG standard that way.
