There's nothing special about that mind map. It seems to be made from basic path and text objects, laid out nicely with a bright colour scheme. If you're stuck, I recommend tackling the built-in tutorials [Help > Tutorials].

I second that, it would be great to get the source file for that mindmap, to take it as a starting point.

I came with exactly the same question to this place.

Yes I know it has to do with paths, and I once had it to connect paths with lines, so that you can move around that bubbles and the line sticks to it.

It would be great to easily produce mindmaps in inkscape, especially as they offer

• the ability to directly open in a webbrowser,
• include links etc.
• it could be zoomed in and out.
• possibly with Jessyink plugin combined to click to zoom
