I am trying to recreate this plug. I mean the stereo plug which is on the right side of the diagram attached.
I don't know how to make this drawing. I could use manual trace the outline but it looks this way too tedious and time consuming. I don't know how to create the effect of the screw which can be seen there as well.
Does anyone know a shortcut for this or anything?. It would be nice if someone could post a gif movie or something to get a guide on how to do this. To me the most hardest part to draw are the pins which goes on the bottom of the plug. Help, please?
How can I turn into smooth curves the pointy nodes in the triangle from the top and the corners in the tip and in the ring?. If you see closely there are grooves which make up the ring and this goes inward to the cylinder portion of the plug. I don't know how to make this effect.
When you drew the neck of the pointy tip, how did you made those two nodes move together and symetrically?. This isn't shown very clearly. Can you please write down or show the command you used?.
I also asked about on how to draw the bottom pins. I mean the legs which are below the connection. One of them looks like a letter L which is longer than the other two and it is labeled sleeve. Can you add a suggestion on how to draw those please? A movie to accompany this would be of much help.
There is an option in stroke options where you can turn joints into rounded corners but I am aiming at a more rounded effect which may not suffice with this option. Because of this I am asking on how to make that rounded effect for the tip and the ring portions.

I'd break the drawing into its simplest shapes... rectangles and pointed rectangles.
This is rough, but to give you some ideas. Play around and have some fun.
@TylerDurden
Thanks for that, but a couple of things:

Can you attend these doubts please?.
Most of this is covered in the Manual section on paths: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/Paths.html
Please review those pages and show/describe what you have tried.
