Hi everyone! I’m new to Inkscape and really excited to dive into vector graphic design. I’ve been playing around with the tools, but I’m still feeling a bit lost. Can anyone provide some beginner-friendly tips on how to get started? Specifically, I’m looking for advice on:
Basic Tools: What are the essential tools I should learn first?
Workflow Tips: How can I streamline my process for designing simple projects?
Learning Resources: Are there any tutorials or resources you recommend for beginners?
I’d really appreciate any guidance to help me build a solid foundation! Thank you in advance! 😊
The pen tool, the node tool, align and distribute and the snap settings.
Workflow builds with experience. Learn by doing, not by memorising.
Wouldn't recommend tutorials. You need to be at it constantly, and not following a teacher until the bell rings.
Based on your other post, learning inkscape won't make you a graphic designer. It's just a tool to manifest your ideas with.
There are tons of logo design tutorials out there.
Usual suggestion is using pen and paper for starters. Limit your tools to the bare minimum. Build by simplified blocks and leave out the embellishment from your sketches.
Create 20 design proposals. Scrap 19. Rinse and repeat.
