I'm new, and I try to export a work with a transparent background. I can do it by exporting my with bitmap format. but.. when i go to "file" -> and i only got exporting with PNG format (MAJ + CTRL + E ). I saw some tutorials where they have "File" -> "exporting bitmap format". I use Insckape 1.1 version, and i just install it on a windows.
How can i export my work with bitmap format ? Do i need to enable the bitmap format somewhere, in some option menu ?
The File > Export PNG Image menu option used to be called Export Bitmap back in much older versions of Inkscape. But to be clear, it still exported a PNG file: in this case the word "bitmap" just means a raster file (such as a JPEG, PNG, GIF) but does not refer to the BMP format you may be thinking of. All BMP files are bitmap images, but not all bitmap images are BMP files.
PNG is arguably a better format than BMP, so you should probably use it if you can. If you absolutely have to have a BMP file then you can convert a PNG to a this format using any number of raster graphics programs (e.g. The GIMP, Krita, Photoshop) or online conversion sites.

What´s wrong with File->Export PNG Image? PNG is a raster graphics format supporting alpha channel.
