    Howdy folks,

I am using Mac, and Inkscape 1.1.

I am a beginner to Inkscape and vector drawing, and I'm hoping you can help me with an issue I'm having. The attached image should have two concentric circles, with musical notes poking out all around. In Inkscape the circles are visible, but when I preview the image on my Mac or look at it in a browser, the circles are gone and only the notes are visible.

I have been googling to no avail, and I can't seem to figure out why the circles don't display when viewed outside of Inkscape. The file is attached. Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

It looks like the circles have a blend mode filter applied. If you open up the Filter Editor dialog, you can select that filter and delete it.

Filters are not consistently supported across svg renderers, particularly blend modes. You can now use CSS blend modes in Inkscape if you want.

That did the trick, thank you so much! I don't even know how I got blend mode filters in there; the circles are just plain black. But I deleted the filters and now the circles are showing up.

Hi, I'm having the same issue, although I didn't play with filtering..

This is how my svg looks after I saved it:

and how it looks in inkscape:

As you can see I lost the outer line. Any ideas?

    👍

The upper half circle is a Slice object (check status bar) - for whatever reason - select it and go Path->Object to Path and save - all is good.

Wow Thanks! I wanted to create a semicircle, that's why I went for Slice. Do I have to convert all the objects which are not rectangles/circles in order to have them visible in the svg?

Not in general - but for compatibility reasons I´d convert Inkscape parametric objects to path. I have no clue how you got that slice object at all - I know of web-slicer but this means a rectangle afaik.
