I have gone through all tutorials that I can find but I am still having a big problem. I can make something in Inkscape then take go through the steps to make the Gcode and it all looks alright until I import it into a program that will run the router like UGS or Easel. I have set my canvas in Inkscape to inches but when I import it into UGS or Easel it will become over 20 times larger. I have hit the wall on this problem and have run out of ideas. Help?
From what I understand the Gcode generation doesn't work in Inkscape V1.
But if you are getting something it looks like you imported it from a pdf or other format that did not have any scale information. Go to your document proprieties and play about with the scale numbers. However, I have had this problem and not managed to solve it satisfactorily, that is not managed to get the right size.
Actually, no. I have not imported anything into my latest attempts. I've only used text and made an A large enough to fill the canvas. I have gone through all the steps including Document Properties and sized everything and ser the scale to 1 and I have actually made a Gcode file and saved it. The problem comes that what is imported into UGS or Easel come out to be around 20 times larger than the size that I set it for.

So now I have exhausted my ideas on how to produce a Gcode and the output is the same size that I have set it for...it comes out over 20 times larger. I set the canvas for 9X5 and the height comes out to over 125". I have even tried to scale the x into .xxx numbers and that didn't work at all. I know that it is Inscape where the problem lies bc I have imported it into two different programs with the same result. Any ideas out there? I'm about to call it quits with Inkscape.

Have you tried changing the scale values on the file proprieties page before you export?
Oh yea, sure have. The Gcode even says G20 set to inches and the scaler in document properties is set to 1. I'm missing something somewhere.

Maybe this?
Yes that will be it. Also change the other units on this page to cm, not pixels as they can be.
Then if you still get the trouble you can start with putting numbers less than one in here for the units.
No.
For G20, units must be in inches scale 1. For G21, units must be in millimeters scale 1.
It is all set to inches and it even shows on the scale on the ruler in the work page.
