I have a set of plans to build a plane. I have copied and pasted the ribs of the wings to the work area in inkscape. I wish to treat each object as a single object not a group object and i am having difficulty getting the4 parts to the right size in my given work area I put in to work with. any help would be appreciated.
The fastest work method will be to manually trace each line. Start by putting your scan on a bottom layer.- lock - create another layer to draw on. When you have fully traced it - delete or hide your scan. Create another layer. Place on that layer a rectangle the size of your needed output. Group everything on your drawing layer and scale it until it fits on your page as you want. Page = rectangle you made. Remember to hold ctrl while dragging the scaling arrows. Export final as png. Import to publishing program for best print.
