When I do text to path on a circle the letters come out mirrored so they are backward. No matter how I flip it the text will remain mirrored. I tried using the Reverse Path but it was like nothing happened. Is this a problem with the anchor?

I can't reproduce this behavior (inkscape 1.3 win11) :

• type a text (for me, a center justified text)
• draw a circle
• select both and do text > Put on Path : text is placed around the left quadrant (9 o'clock)
• then select text and do path> object to path : no visual change, there.

Also works for left and right justified and left + right justified text (the place where the text is placed on circle varies, but there is no mess when doing path > object to path on text, then).

Post a simple example svg of the problem so we can see :)

I fixed it.

It would be kind to explain what was going wrong.

I'm sorry. My explanation didn't post.

First the problem:

1. I created a circle, then I created text
2. I Selected both items
3. I clicked on Text to Path
4. The text went backward
5. I tried using the Flip for all directions, it didn't work
6. I started over and selected Reverse for the circle before Text to Path and it didn't work

Finally I just used trial and error until I came up with the solution.

After doing steps 1 through 3 above I Ungrouped the circle then tried to Flip the text and it worked. I'm not sure why it Didn't work the way all the tutorials suggest. If it happens again I'll save the svg.
