Hi there,
I'm using a font that does not have an Italic variation.
In the Font Panel (Ctrl+Shift+T) I can select an Italic variation and it shows in the preview. In the main panel, however, it remains regular.
What am I doing wrong? Why the inconsistency between the preview and the main viewport?
Thank you for any help :)
Please provide a sample font file (ttf, otf) that has the issue.
I have the same Problem with Windows 11, Inkscape V 1.4 and only with Font Cambia Math so far. Other fonts work.
It seems Cambria Math is special: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8374289/difference-between-cambria-math-italic-font-in-word-2010That said, it seems if you are only needing the text (outside of formulae), Cambria looks to be the same face as Cambria Math Regular.
