Hi. This Windows shortcut has been in place for a while but perhaps you did not know it was there.
When you are on an object and you want to choose it's "opposite" or "inverse" color - press the ALT key when choosing another color. For example, if you use the Dropper Tool, when you hover over a different object, press the Alt key. (This also inverts colors when selecting a specific color from the color swatches you have at the bottom.)
For example, pink becomes green, yellow becomes blue, cyan becomes red, purple becomes light green, black becomes white.
This may also be useful after duplicating an object in place and then wanting to set it to a bold distinctive color. Use this keyboard shortcut.

Roy here. Many thanks for the ALT key tip on color inversion. I rely on techniques like that because of my partial color blindness. You might have noticed in my tutorials that I use color hex code a lot. It helps save my day. My wife acts as a separate pair eyes, too. If you're thinking "What a team!", you're right! Again, thank you!

Hi, Roy. You are welcome. I am finding a good practice is to have refernce material nearby.
There are many "teams" in our lives. I am glad you are part of a wonderful one, right in your home. God specializes in blessing us in amazing ways. :)
Enjoy a great week ahead and keep supporting and building your home team!
