Hello all. I was "tracing" an image using the bezier tool. I had the stroke opacity set way down so I could see the outline of the path only. I had made my path and was adjusting the nodes slightly and moving the handles around...
I was zooming in and out using the ctrl keyΒ and the mouse wheel when, everything seemed to disappear, my nodes my path... 8/ After some frantic Ctrl + 'z' pressing... I noticed that with the Bezier tool selected that my nodes are still in place... the only thing is, is that I cannot see them, nor the path (as already stated... I know)...Β
I really don't know what I did to make this happen. I'd like to get the path back to being visible, so I can finish my work. Any explanations or advice very welcome. Thanks
It can be a rendering issue, check your drawing in outlines only rendering mode (Ctrl+5 twice on the numpad).
Β
Usually related to some zoom levels. Windows backening can also happen in extreme cases (too tiny gradient fills on screen, imported rastrer image exceeding the 32768 px size limit, or the ghosting issue of 80000+ px coordinates which got fixed).
Thanks for the responses everyone. I realised what I had done. I must have pressed keys accidentally and moved the path to another Layer. I'd also had the opacity set to 0. So this is why I couldn't see the stroke, though I thought I might have seen the path thinking about it now. But it was a case of having moved the selection to another Layer. Thanks again.

IΒ΄d save - quit Inkscape reopen and check. Inkscape can have transparency adjustments at 3 places: per fill+stroke/per object and per layer.
And you can upload here for us to check.
